What can you expect?
At GOfit Physical Therapy we look to find the root cause of your problem.
So not only will we assess and treat your pain, but we will also look at other regions that may be contributing to your symptoms.
If there is one structure along the chain that is not functioning optimally it can cause pain and dysfunction in surrounding or remote regions.
All structures including joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons are assessed. We look at strength, coordination, movement patterns, mobility, and flexibility.
By finding the root cause of your problem, we are then able to help reduce your current pain and prevent it from happening again in the future.
We will then work to retrain your movement patterns to help you return to running.
This is important because your body may be used to unhealthy body positions or movement patterns.
We use a variety of treatment techniques including manual therapy (hands-on treatment), exercise, and neuromuscular re-education (retraining your body).
